New Blogger wants to make new friends August 20, 2007

If you haven’t noticed yet, I’m new here and still learning my way around. This is not my first blog though, I have my blog “Je suis qui je suis…” and “Warped Insights” over at Blogspot.com and I’ve had my fun and still do with them. But I figured its about time for me to start a WordPress blog and get into the so-called “WordPress hype”.

I love wordpress, the default templates are really great and I love all of them! I would like to customize it though… But I have to shell out $15 for one year! hehe.. not that its too big an amount, but I would like to see first how this blog would fare before I shell out anything other than my “words of wisdom” and occasional “rants and raves”.

I would love to have some new friends and add some links to my blogroll and maybe get some links myself, what say you? :)

Want to have me as a friend? I’m really fun to talk to and I can teach you a lot of things, like… like…

Anyway, I could learn something and then teach it to you. Whatever that might be… So, will you be my friend?

I feel like the little prince taming the fox in my favorite book “The Little Prince”.

The foxes and the Prince

Would that make you, people, foxes in my eyes? Nah…

Hello Universe! August 20, 2007

Welcome to WordPress.com. This is your first post. Edit or delete it and start blogging!

Yay! My first ever post in my brand new blog and I don’t even know what to say! Anyway, haven’t you notice how first posts always have the “Hello world!” title? Isn’t it time to change that? It is so out, so old, so web 1.0! Why don’t they use “Hello Universe!”, or “Howdy Aliens!”, anything but this!

As the ever curious george that I am, I started researching where it all started and why “Hello World!” is widely used and here is what I found out:

According to Wikipedia:

A “hello world” program is a computer program that prints out “Hello, World!” on a display device. It is used in many introductory tutorials for teaching a programming language. Such a program is typically one of the simplest programs possible in a computer language. Some are surprisingly complex, especially in some graphical user interface (GUI) contexts, but most are very simple, especially those which rely heavily on a particular command line interpreter (“shell”) to perform the actual output. In many embedded systems, the text may be sent to a one or two-line liquid crystal display (LCD), or some other appropriate signal, such as an LED being turned on, may substitute for the message.

yada yada yada.. Zzzzzzz

After researching for 2 minutes, I finally lost interest. So that’s everything and its downright boring. Nothing for me to get addicted here… Gotta find me some new topics to talk about soon or I’ll die of boredom. Want to lend me a hand?
